How the LNG Terminal works
LNG is produced in different regions, including Asia, the Middle East and Norway. It is shipped from these regions by tanker to import terminals, such as the LNG Terminal in Zeebrugge (1). At a special facility (2) it is transferred to smaller vessels, which serve a receiving terminal (3), such as the one planned in Gothenburg. From there the natural gas is distributed either as gas in the gas grid or in liquefied form using smaller vessels, road tankers or trains. Vessels can bunker directly or from special bunker vessels.
